*** Peer Review Policy in JHEPALS:
We aim to publish the research which meet the maximum criteria of academic publishing in terms of its content (novelty), rigor of the research methodology, alingment of research findings with research literature, contribution to the available research knowledge, and being timely.
- Double blind Review Procedure: All identifying authors' details are removed from the manuscripts (prior to the external round of review) to ensure the maximum anonymity between reviewers and authors.
- Initial editorial screening: The manuscripts received by the journal are initially checked by the editors-in-chief or other members of the editorial team to confirm if the research fall within the Aims and Scope of the journal and meet the maximum criteria for academic publishing (as listed above!).
- External review: In alignment with our policy, each manuscript is assigned to (at least) two expert reviewers. In some cases, a third reviewer is invited to join the review team (Authors also have the chance to recommend potential reviewers as an optional step during manuscript submission procedure).
- Types of Reviewers' Recommendations:
- Accept as it is
- Accept with minor revision(s)
- Major revision(s) needed: Resubmit as a revised manuscript
- Major revision(s) needed: Resubmit as a new manuscript
- Reject
- Editors' final decision: the editors make the final decision on each manuscript based on the reviewers' comments and members of the editorial team advice/ feedback.
- Review procedure: We avoid hasty publishing; in this regard, the initial editorial screening takes 30-40 working days to be completed. And the review procedure might take 3-4 months to be completed!
